Niska, an escaped synth, continues to search for her consciousness, while struggling with her newfound freedom in the human world. Meanwhile, Mia navigates her new found life as a free synth and continues to build relationships with her human counterparts.

The Hawkins family is also experiencing their own set of challenges, with Laura struggling with the return of her synth, Anita, while Joe continues to grapple with his infidelity and the repercussions of his actions.
