I Woke Up A Vampire is a new supernatural drama series that premiered in 2023. The show centers around a young man named Jake who wakes up one morning to discover he has somehow been transformed into a vampire overnight. Confused and alarmed, Jake tries to piece together how this could have happened to him. The last thing he remembers is going out to a party the night before and having a strange encounter with a mysterious woman.

As Jake struggles to come to terms with his new vampire identity, he faces numerous challenges. For one, he finds he now has a powerful thirst for human blood that is difficult to control. He also develops new supernatural abilities like enhanced strength, speed and senses. While these new powers seem exciting at first, Jake soon realizes they come with downsides. He can no longer go out in sunlight, needs to avoid garlic and other vampire weaknesses, and lives in fear of being discovered by vampire hunters.

Desperate for answers about his transformation, Jake tries tracking down the woman from the party. He soon discovers she belongs to a powerful clan of vampires that are secretly living amongst humans. This vampire clan sees Jake as a threat to expose their existence to the world. They continue to hunt him while also trying to lure him to their side. As Jake researches vampire lore, he learns killing the head vampire of a clan can reverse any vampires they had turned. Jake decides he must fight the vampire clan and defeat their leader in order to change back to human.

Along the way, Jake establishes an unlikely friendship with a human girl named Sarah. She learns his secret but promises to help him even though befriending a vampire places her own life at risk. As Jake's bond with Sarah grows, he questions if he really wants to return to being human after all. Yet with the vampire clan still pursuing him, he knows he is endangering Sarah's life every day he remains a vampire.

Jake trains hard to hone his new vampire abilities and prepares for the looming showdown with the vampire clan's ancient leader. The head vampire underestimates Jake and a fierce battle ensues. At the climactic moment, Jake manages to defeat the head vampire in a display of bravery and self-sacrifice. With the vampire leader destroyed, his hold over Jake and the other vampires he turned is broken. Jake awakens the next morning to find himself human once again. The vampire clan has vanished with the death of their leader.

Jake is relieved to have his normal human life back. But he wonders if he will miss the power and immortal existence he briefly experienced as a vampire. He is also uncertain if his relationship with Sarah can continue now that they no longer share the supernatural bond. As Jake tries to move on after his brief time living as a vampire, he knows there are more mysteries and supernatural threats lurking beyond what most humans can see.
