In Interrogation season 1 episode 3, titled "Episode 3," the investigation into the murder of Mary Fisher continues. As a result of the interrogation techniques used by Detective Loach, the focus of the investigation shifts towards Fisher's husband, Eric. Loach believes that Eric may have been jealous of his wife's success and had a motive to kill her.

The episode takes place in two different time periods: 1994, when the murder occurred, and 2005, when the investigation is being revisited. In 1994, we see Eric Fisher being questioned by the police for the first time. He appears nervous and defensive, but maintains his innocence. Meanwhile, in 2005, Eric is interviewed again, this time by Detective Loach's colleague, Gina, who uses a gentler approach to try and get him to open up.

We also learn more about Mary Fisher's personal and professional life. She was a talented artist who had just won a major grant, but also struggled with addiction and was known to have affairs. Her assistant, Daniel, is brought in for questioning and reveals that Mary had been in a relationship with a man named Arnie, who is also interrogated.

As the episode progresses, it becomes clear that the investigation is not as straightforward as it initially seemed. Several new pieces of evidence are discovered, including fingerprints on a wine bottle found at the scene of the crime and a suspicious phone call made by a mysterious woman on the night of the murder.

Overall, "Episode 3" is a gripping addition to the series. The dual timelines and shifting focus keep the viewer engaged and guessing as to who the true culprit may be. The performances by the cast, particularly Peter Sarsgaard as Eric Fisher, are superb. The episode ends on a cliffhanger that leaves the audience eager to see what happens next.
