In the nineteenth episode of Katana Maidens ~ Toji No Miko, titled Call of the Evil God, the stakes are higher than ever. The Toji are getting closer and closer to the truth about the true nature of their powers, as well as the organization they serve, and it seems that the more they learn, the more dangerous their world becomes.
The episode begins with Kanami and Hiyori heading towards the venue of the upcoming tournament, the Fujisaki Academy. There, they meet with other members of the team and begin a training session before the big day. However, their training is interrupted by an unexpected visitor, who brings some dark news with them.
Shutou Suzuka, the leader of the Origami family, makes a surprise appearance and informs the Toji that he has reason to believe that the ancient god of war known as Susanoo has been awakened. This, he says, poses a grave threat to the safety of the city and the country as a whole.
The Toji are aware of the legends surrounding Susanoo, and they know that he is not a force to be trifled with. In fact, it was the Toji themselves who were responsible for putting him to sleep in the first place, thousands of years ago. Now, with his awakening, they fear that he may wreak havoc on the world once again.
As the meeting with Shutou comes to an end, the young Toji get ready for their next mission. They know that if what he says is true, they must act quickly before it is too late. However, they soon discover that their situation is far worse than they could have ever imagined.
As they make their way towards the location where Susanoo is said to be, the Toji realize that they are being followed by a group of mysterious figures. It soon becomes clear that these figures are not allies, and that they have their own reasons for wanting to get their hands on Susanoo.
What follows is a tense battle between the Toji and their opponents, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. As they fight, the Toji begin to uncover more and more about the true nature of their powers, and the reasons why they were chosen to be Toji in the first place.
By the end of the episode, the Toji have come face to face with Susanoo himself, and the true nature of the evil they are fighting becomes clear. It is a battle that will test them all to their limits, and one that will have far-reaching consequences for everyone involved.
In the end, the Toji must come to grips with the truth about their powers, and the price that must be paid for wielding them. As they face down the ancient god of war, they must make a choice that will define them forever, and that will have repercussions far beyond the borders of their own country.
