Seiso Academy's Music Department prepares for their upcoming annual Spring Concert as the competition for the coveted role of First Strings begins to heat up. The students have been practicing tirelessly for months on end and the pressure is on as they anxiously await the verdict of the judges.
Kahoko Hino, a violinist with no prior experience, is feeling the pressure of the competition as she strives to improve her playing and navigate the social dynamics of the Department. Despite her fears, she perseveres and even manages to make some connections with her fellow classmates.
However, trouble arises when one of the competitors, Len Tsukimori, gets injured during a practice session. His ambitious and overbearing mother arrives on the scene, insisting that he cannot withdraw from the competition despite his injury. Len is torn between his desire to rest and heal, and his mother's expectations of him.
As tensions continue to rise between Len's mother and the other students, Kahoko finds herself pulled into the fray when Len asks her to perform a difficult piece on his behalf. Kahoko is hesitant at first, but with encouragement from her friends, she decides to give it her best shot.

Shoko Fuyuumi, the talented cellist, is quietly confident in her abilities and practices diligently. Ryoutaro Tsuchiura, the easygoing pianist, is putting in the work both in music and in trying to win Kahoko's heart.
As the day of the Spring Concert draws closer, tensions in the Music Department continue to mount. Kahoko finds herself caught in the middle of various conflicts, unsure of where she fits in. But with the support of her friends and a newfound passion for music, she is determined to give it her all and leave a lasting impression on the judges.
