The story of DearS takes place one year after a strange alien spaceship crashed into the Tokyo Bay area. Once this happens, the aliens have nowhere else to go and are automatically given Japanese citizenship from the country. One day, one of the DearS goes missing from the pack and accidentally lives their life as a normal high school student who is named Takeya. This alien is about to learn something new about the human culture that he never thought he would.
