DearS is a Japanese anime television series produced by Studio Daume, which aired from 2004-2005. The plot of the show is set in a parallel universe where a spaceship has crash-landed on Earth. The spaceship is carrying a group of beautiful and mysterious girls called DearS who are then found by humans.

DearS stands for 'Dear Singular', which refers to the fact that each of these girls is unique and cannot be replicated. The DearS are quickly assimilated into human society, but they soon encounter a number of challenges as they struggle to adjust to their new environment.

The main character of the show, Ren, is one of the DearS who is found by a high school student named Takeya. Ren is a young and beautiful girl who has lost her memory and is unable to communicate in any language known on Earth. Takeya takes Ren under his wing and helps her adjust to her new life, teaching her basic communication skills and how to fit in among humans.

Neneko Izumi is another main character in the series, who is a classmate of Takeya. She also encounters some of the DearS and becomes fascinated with their unique characteristics. Neneko is the first to discover that the DearS can communicate by touch and she starts to study them in an effort to understand more about their abilities.

Xaki is one of the antagonists in the show, who is a DearS rebel leader seeking to overthrow the ruling council of their home planet. Xaki encounters Ren and Takeya and tries to convince Ren to join their cause. However, Ren is torn between her loyalty to her people and her growing attachment to humans.

Hirofumi Nonaka is another human character in the show who plays a significant role. He is a teacher at the school and is tasked with looking after the DearS. Nonaka initially sees the DearS as nothing more than exotic pets, but he gradually begins to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of their unique qualities.

Hikoro Oikawa is a male classmate of Takeya who becomes enamored with one of the DearS named Miu. He is initially hesitant to interact with her due to his fear of touching her, but gradually overcomes his inhibitions and starts to explore their unique form of communication.

Mitsuka Yoshimine is the final main character in the show, who is the school nurse. She becomes interested in Takeya and Ren's relationship and starts to offer advice to Takeya on how to support Ren. Mitsuka is also aware of the growing tensions between the DearS and humans and works to build bridges between the two groups.

Overall, DearS is a charming and entertaining show that explores a number of interesting themes such as communication, cultural differences, and prejudice. The relationship between Ren and Takeya is particularly engaging and provides a unique insight into the challenges faced by those who are different from the norm. With a talented voice cast and an engaging storyline, DearS is a must-watch for fans of anime and sci-fi.

DearS is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (13 episodes). The series first aired on July 10, 2004.
