The plot of "Listen to Me, Girls, I'm Your Father!" centers heavily around the developing relationship between three recently orphaned young girls and the young man who takes it upon himself to act as their surrogate father. Yuta Segawa, voiced by Wataru Hatano, must cope with the responsibilities and burdens of looking after the three girls, a task made all the more difficult when juggled with college courses and a heavy work load.

The series was originally published in the form of Japanese light novels, and a manga adaptation, drawn by Yohei Takemura, began serialization in September of 2011. The Anime adaptation, animated by Studio Feel, followed suite in January of 2012. The cast features prominent stars in the Japanese voice-acting community; Wataru Hatano (who voices Yuta) was the recipient of the 'best male rookie' award at the second annual Seiyu Awards. Eri Kitamura, who provides the voice-over talent for Miu Takanashi, the second eldest of the three sisters, is a well-known voice actress and singer who has also dabbled in drawing manga.

The series' focus shifts from character to character throughout, examining and developing the relationships shared between the cast. Yuta decides to take on the role of guardian to the three girls when their mother, who happened to be Yuta's older sister and sole care-taker following the death of their parents, and father are lost in a tragic accident.

Directed by Itsuro Kawasaki, animated by Studio Feel, and licensed by Sentai Filmworks. The series' network run includes JAITS, MBS TV, and TVA.

  • The end of the month is coming and Yuuta has thought he made his final decision, but after Hina's outburst about her mama and papa, the decision has become even harder.

  • Yuuta is so focused and happy about being a good Father, a visitor with some information snaps him back to reality. He offered a choice that could change everybody lives.

  • Sora can't keep up with her school activates, studying, and housework. Her neighbor Kurumi has ended her run on the LunaLuna 7 and is having trouble finding new work. Can these two find the inspiration to move forward?

  • The mental and physical stress is starting to show and Miu's classmates are concerned. As Miu wonders around Ikebukuro thinking, she runs into Nimura who treats her to a date.

  • With only a month to find a new place to live, Yuuta is under the gun. The new place must be within distance of daycare for Hina, trains for the girls, and affordable. Finding such a trifecta will be hard even with the help of his friends. They need an extension of the eviction and Hina might be their weapon.

  • Yuuta has invited the members of his club to dinner at his home to meet his nieces. Shuntarou is overwhelmed by Miu and Hina, while Raika is smitten with Sora. Life with Yuuta and the girls have become routine, and what to do about the upcoming school term was the next family problem. But a visit from the Landlord has changed everything.

  • The girls ask Yuuta if they can return to their old home to pick up a few things. While there, old friends, memories, and emotions hit the girls. And Shuntaru gets the chance to speak with Hina, the 2nd angel.

  • After an eye opening morning, Yuuta left the house without his phone. That allows Shuntarou, the one person Yuuta didn't want the girls to meet, a chance to talk with Miu. And while Sora leaves to deliver Yuuta's phone, a neighbor comes to visit.

  • With Yuuta at work, the girls have to stay at home and entertain themselves. But with cramp quarters and a rambunctious Hina, they set off to explore their new town.

  • The trip back to Yuuta's apartment is filled with mix emotions. How will the four of them live in a one room apartment? And how will they explain the situation to Hina?

  • What was supposed to be a week-long vacation has turned to a time of mourning. The plane that the Takansahi's were riding on has crashed, all passengers are missing. Shingo's relatives agree that splitting the girls among them is the best choice, can Yuuta convince them otherwise?

  • Segawa Yuuta has just started college miles away from his older sister, his only family. One day, she comes to visit him at college to see how he's doing, and to ask a big favor of him.
