Campuzano, a former UFC fighter, had recently signed with Legacy FC and was hoping to make a statement in his promotional debut. Nascimento, a Brazilian prospect, was looking to score an upset and boost his own career.

The fight between Campuzano and Nascimento turned out to be a thrilling back-and-forth battle, with both fighters landing significant strikes and grappling for position on the ground. In the end, it was Campuzano who emerged victorious, submitting Nascimento with a rear-naked choke in the third round.
