In episode 2 of Locke & Key, entitled "Trapper/Keeper", the Locke children continue to explore their family's mysterious past and the secrets of their ancestral home, Keyhouse. As Tyler, Kinsey, and Bode try to adjust to their new surroundings and deal with their grief over their father's death, they begin to discover the supernatural abilities of the keys hidden throughout the house.

The episode begins with a flashback to the 17th century, where we see the first use of the key that can turn someone into a ghost. Back in the present day, Tyler struggles with the aftermath of his traumatic experience in the well, and Kinsey decides to use the Head Key to try and erase her fear and anxiety. Meanwhile, Bode continues to explore the house and finds a new key that allows him to control animals.

As the children try to navigate their new abilities and understand the extent of the power of the keys, they also face new challenges and threats. The episode introduces a new character, Ellie Whedon, who has a complicated history with their father and may know more about the keys than she lets on. Meanwhile, a dangerous and mysterious entity known as the Echo threatens the safety of the family and their newfound abilities.

As the plot thickens and the stakes get higher, the Locke children must work together to unravel the mysteries of Keyhouse and protect themselves and their loved ones from the dangers that lurk around every corner. "Trapper/Keeper" is a thrilling and suspenseful episode that sets up the rest of the season with plenty of action, intrigue, and supernatural shenanigans.
