Ep 16. God Johnson

In "Lucifer" season 2 episode 16, titled "God Johnson," things take a surprising turn when an attorney named Mark Johnson begins to exhibit some very god-like behavior. Initially believed to be suffering from a massive mental breakdown, Johnson is soon revealed to be something much more interesting.

Lucifer and Chloe are on the scene investigating a grisly murder when they first encounter Johnson, who is naked and coated in blood. At first, the detective and the devil are certain that they are dealing with yet another crazy person, but as Johnson begins to speak, they realize that something very strange is going on.

The man claims to be God incarnate, and he seems to have the powers to back up his outlandish assertions. He knows things about Lucifer that he shouldn't, and he's able to perform "miracles" that defy explanation.

Lucifer, of course, is more than a little skeptical. He has met many people who claim to be gods or who believe that they have divine powers, and he's never been particularly impressed. But something about Johnson gives him pause.

As Lucifer begins to investigate Johnson further, he discovers that there may be more truth to his claims than he initially thought. He starts to suspect that perhaps Johnson is more than just another crazy person, and that there may be a divine presence within him after all.

At the same time, Chloe is working to solve the murder case that first brought Johnson to their attention. As she pieces together the clues, she begins to realize that there may be a connection between the victim and the man claiming to be God.

Meanwhile, other characters in the show are grappling with their own issues. Maze is struggling with the feeling that she no longer has a place in the world, and Linda is dealing with her own crisis of faith after confronting Johnson.

As the episode builds to a climactic conclusion, Lucifer and Chloe find themselves faced with some monumental decisions. They must decide whether to believe in Johnson's claims of divinity, or whether to dismiss him as just another crazy person. And they must also decide how to move forward with their own relationship, which has become increasingly complicated over the course of the season.

"God Johnson" is a thrilling and intellectually stimulating episode that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. With its clever writing, strong performances, and complex characterizations, it's an excellent example of the kind of high-quality programming that "Lucifer" consistently delivers.
