Ep 17. Sympathy for the Goddess

As Charlotte tries to figure out a way to retrieve the blade, Lucifer is struggling with his own issues. He's haunted by the memory of his father's recent visit, and the revelation that his father is capable of manipulating free will. He's also dealing with the re-emergence of his former lover, Maze, who has returned to Los Angeles looking for a fresh start.

But Lucifer's attention is soon drawn back to Charlotte, whose juggling of the human world and the divine is starting to have serious consequences. When she unintentionally puts Chloe's life in danger, Lucifer realizes how far he's willing to go to protect the people he cares about.

As the episode builds towards its climax, Charlotte and Amenadiel come face-to-face in a tense standoff over the blade. Meanwhile, Chloe is struggling to come to terms with the reality of the supernatural world, and what it means for her relationship with Lucifer.
