Dethklok, the world's most successful death metal band, is preparing for their latest tour, which will feature a massive tour bus called the "Dethstar." As they make their way across the country in the 400-ton vehicle, the band members deal with various personal issues and conflicts.
Lead guitarist Toki Wartooth struggles with feelings of inadequacy and worries that he is not contributing enough to the band's success. Meanwhile, bassist William Murderface becomes obsessed with a new video game and spends all his time playing it, neglecting his band duties.
Drummer Pickles deals with a more serious issue: his brother has been hospitalized after a drug overdose. This leads Pickles to question his own lifestyle and whether he should give up the drugs and excessive partying that define Dethklok's image.
As the tour continues, tensions rise between the band members. Guitarist Skwisgaar and lead singer Nathan Explosion clash over creative differences, while manager Charles Offdensen deals with the logistics of the massive Dethstar and tries to keep the band focused on their music.
All of these individual struggles come to a head when Dethklok takes the stage for a massive concert in New York City. The performance is a spectacle, featuring pyrotechnics, elaborate set pieces, and the band's trademark death metal sound.
Overall, "Dethstars" is a tense and emotional episode that highlights the various challenges faced by the members of Dethklok. Despite their success and the adoration of their fans, they must contend with personal demons and a cutthroat industry that threatens to tear them apart.
