Ep 24. The Train

The IMF develops an elaborate plan to convince ailing Svardian Prime Minister Larya that Pavel, his personal choice as his successor, plans to establish a dictatorship. With the aid of a heart surgeon, the IMF persuades Larya to undergo surgery outside of Svardia. Larya, accompanied by Pavel and his aide, makes the long trip to, the doctor's hospital. But the trip is only an illusion, created by the IMF in a railroad warehouse. Pavel is rendered unconscious when the train "crashes." On regaining consciousness he is informed that the Prime Minister has been killed. Pavel takes the oath of office and reveals his ruthless plans, unaware that Larya is alive and hearing every word. Shattered, but grateful, Larya demands Pavel's resignation.
