Ep 11. The Council: Part 1

The Council: Part 1 is the eleventh episode of the second season of Mission: Impossible. To do this, the team devises an elaborate plan involving a fake earthquake, a phony security team, and a helicopter. The plan goes off without a hitch, and the IMF is able to bug the meeting room.

However, the council members are not stupid, and they soon realize that they have a leak. They suspect Eva, and Armand orders her to undergo a lie detector test. Eva passes the test, but Armand is still suspicious. He orders his bodyguard to keep a closer eye on her.

Rollin realizes that time is running out and decides to take matters into his own hands. He sneaks into the council's vault and steals a incriminating document that proves the council's involvement in the plot. However, he is caught by Armand's bodyguard and is forced to fight his way out.

The episode ends with Rollin narrowly escaping from the guards and handing over the document to Jim. The IMF now has the evidence they need to stop the coup and bring the conspirators to justice. However, the episode concludes with a cliffhanger, as the question of whether or not Eva will be able to escape to safety remains unanswered.
