Ep 7. Scorpion and Sub Zero Part 1

In Mortal Kombat: Legacy season 1 episode 7, titled "Scorpion and Sub Zero Part 1", viewers are introduced to two of the most iconic characters in the franchise - Scorpion and Sub Zero. The episode begins with a flashback to ancient Japan, where we see Hanzo Hasashi (the original identity of Scorpion) living a peaceful life with his wife and child.

However, this peaceful life comes to an abrupt end when Bi-Han (the original identity of Sub Zero) and his clan attack Hanzo's home, killing his wife and child in the process. Hanzo seeks revenge and in doing so, he draws the attention of Shao Kahn and his forces.

Fast forward to the present day and we see Hanzo (played by Ian Anthony Dale) as the undead ninja Scorpion searching for answers and longing for revenge against Bi-Han (played by Kevan Ohtsji). Meanwhile, Bi-Han is working under the orders of Quan Chi (played by Peter Shinkoda), an evil sorcerer who plans to use Sub Zero to gain access to Earthrealm.

The episode builds up to an epic showdown between Scorpion and Sub Zero as they face off in a fight to the death. The fight itself is brilliantly choreographed and features a lot of the signature moves and abilities that fans of the games will recognize, such as Scorpion's "Get over here!" spear attack and Sub Zero's ice blasts.

One of the standout moments of "Scorpion and Sub Zero Part 1" is the use of flashbacks, which provide context and insight into the history and motivations behind the two characters. In particular, the scene where Hanzo's family is killed is both heart-wrenching and horrifying, and sets the stage for the intense rivalry between Scorpion and Sub Zero.

The episode also features some strong performances from the cast, especially Ian Anthony Dale as Scorpion. He manages to convey a great deal of emotion and intensity despite the fact that his face is hidden behind a mask for most of the episode.

Overall, "Scorpion and Sub Zero Part 1" is an excellent entry in the Mortal Kombat: Legacy series. It successfully brings two of the most beloved characters to life and delivers an action-packed episode that will leave fans of the games satisfied.
