Ep 9. Walk Like a Man

After a shocking ending in the previous episode, "Mr. Mercedes" season 2 episode 9, titled "Walk Like a Man," finds the characters struggling to pick up the pieces and move forward.

Brady Hartsfield (played by Harry Treadaway) is in a coma after being viciously attacked by his own mother, but his evil presence continues to haunt those around him. Hodges' partner, Holly Gibney (Justine Lupe), is dealing with her own demons as she struggles with the aftermath of Brady's attack on her. She turns to her therapist, who encourages her to face her fears and regain control of her life.

Elsewhere, Lou Linklatter (Breeda Wool) is still reeling from the news that her husband, Brady's former co-worker Brady Hartsfield, was the one responsible for the City Center massacre. She tries to come to terms with his betrayal while also dealing with her complicated feelings for Hodges.

As the episode progresses, the characters are forced to confront their past and the guilt and trauma that continues to haunt them. The tension and emotion are palpable as each character struggles with their own demons.

The acting in "Walk Like a Man" is superb, with standout performances from Lynch and Wool as they both grapple with their own personal demons. Gleeson and Lupe also deliver strong performances as their characters try to move forward in the face of adversity.
