Aspiring musicians try to make it in Music City—the new season of the unscripted TV arrangement gets on their battles and triumphs. The show's dramatization factor is centered around wedded couple Kerry and Rachyl, whose relationship is on the rocks. Over the span of season 2, they battled with issues going from infidelity to addictions, and viewers saw them continue to address their marital struggles in episode 4, entitled "Marriage, Morals, and a Makeover."

The episode starts with Kerry coming to the realization that he has been solely focused on his career as a country singer and has neglected his duties as a husband and father. He decides to change his ways and take Rachyl out on a date to show her how much he cares. They have dinner and drinks, and Kerry leaves for a studio session while Rachyl meets a friend for dessert. The friend asks about their relationship, and Rachyl admits to feeling frustrated with Kerry's lack of attention.

Meanwhile, Jackson is struggling with writer's block and feeling overwhelmed with the pressure of creating a hit song. He turns to friend and mentor Jessica for support, and she helps him re-focus and find inspiration. While working on new lyrics, Jackson receives a call from his girlfriend Baylee, who shares that she's been offered a job across the country. Jackson feels conflicted about what this means for their relationship.

Back with Kerry and Rachyl, they attend couple's therapy, but tensions rise as they discuss trust issues. Rachyl reveals that she can't even trust Kerry when he goes out with friends. Kerry argues that he needs his space, and they ultimately reach an impasse. Rachyl decides it's time to take control of her life and schedules a fashion and beauty makeover, hoping that it will help her gain more confidence.

Elsewhere, Bryant is preparing for the release of his new EP, but he's starting to feel that the music industry is corrupting his morals. His producer suggests that he re-think his public image and be more open about his faith, which makes Bryant nervous about potentially alienating fans.

As the episode draws to a close, many of the musicians are at a party celebrating Bryant's EP release. Kerry and Rachyl arrive separately, and it's clear that they are still struggling in their relationship. Jackson shows up and surprises Baylee, who has flown in from across the country to be with him. Bryant decides to embrace his faith and performs a new song that reflects his spiritual journey.

Overall, "Marriage, Morals, and a Makeover" is an emotional episode that touches primarily on two major themes: the complicated dynamics of relationships and the pressure that comes with making it in the music industry. While some questions are left unanswered, the show expertly balances drama and heartwarming moments, making it a must-watch for fans of unscripted television.
