Ep 11. Dunleavy Family

The Dunleavy Family is a struggling family of six from New Jersey who are in need of the help of Nanny 911. The parents, Maryanne and Dan, have their hands full with four children under the age of six – twins Liam and Maggie, three-year-old Declan, and 18-month-old Maeve – and are struggling to keep up with their behavior.

The family reaches out to Nanny 911 for help with their children’s behavior, which includes constant fighting between the twins, physical aggression from Declan, and tantrums and whining from Maeve. Nanny 911 sends in Nanny Stella, the tough and experienced nanny who has a no-nonsense approach to parenting.

Before Nanny Stella arrives, Maryanne and Dan are shown struggling to manage their children’s behavior, resorting to yelling and timeouts that seem to have little effect. They express their frustration and exhaustion, and seem skeptical but hopeful that Nanny Stella can help them.

When Nanny Stella arrives, she immediately observes the family’s chaos and assigns the parents tasks and responsibilities to help them regain control. She introduces a new daily routine that includes strict rules and consequences for bad behavior, and helps the parents establish a reward system to incentivize good behavior.

Throughout the episode, Nanny Stella works with each of the children individually to address their specific behavioral issues. She helps Liam and Maggie learn to communicate and play together without fighting, and uses physical exercises to tire out Declan and teach him how to channel his energy in a positive way. With Maeve, Nanny Stella focuses on teaching Maryanne and Dan how to effectively communicate with and discipline a toddler.

Nanny Stella also helps the parents strengthen their relationship, recognizing that their marital struggles are contributing to their difficulty in parenting. She assigns them date nights and encourages them to communicate more effectively with each other.

Throughout the episode, the Dunleavy family is shown making progress in their behavior and communication. The children respond well to Nanny Stella’s strict but fair approach, and the parents are shown learning new parenting skills and becoming more confident in their ability to manage their children.
