The show No Activity first aired in 2017 and follows the lives of a group of law enforcement personnel who are stuck in mundane situations in their workplace. The show is known for its hilarious dialogue and dry humor that has kept audiences engaged over the years. The show's fourth episode in season one is titled The Metric System and follows the characters as they deal with new issues that challenge them in their workplace.

The Metric System episode begins with a dispute over the use of the metric system in law enforcement. The episode is centered around two police officers who have entirely different approaches to their work, and yet their paths cross in unexpected ways. On one hand, we have detectives Cullen (Patrick Brammall) and Tolbeck (Tim Meadows), who are staking out a house in the suburbs in search of a notorious drug dealer. On the other hand, we have officers Washburn (Darren Gilshenan) and Hendy (Genevieve Morris), who are manning a traffic checkpoint and enforcing the use of the metric system on unsuspecting drivers.

As the story unfolds, we see how the two conflicts come together to create a hilarious and entertaining episode. Cullen and Tolbeck, for example, are completely unequipped to handle their stakeout in the suburbs. They begin to squabble over their snacks and makeshift toilet facilities, and their bickering is compounded by the fact that they have absolutely no leads on their suspect. Meanwhile, Washburn and Hendy are having far too much fun forcing drivers to use the metric system. The two officers are seen to be relishing their newfound powers, and even Hendy's attempts to flirt with some of the drivers are unsuccessful.

As the episode progresses, we see how the characters navigate their respective predicaments. Cullen and Tolbeck are forced to confront their wildly different personalities, and they eventually come to the realization that they might not be such bad partners after all. Washburn and Hendy, on the other hand, find that their job is not as fun as they originally thought. They grow increasingly frustrated and angry when one particularly stubborn driver refuses to use the metric system, causing a massive traffic jam.

The Metric System episode is filled with hilarious moments that showcase the strengths of the show's cast. Patrick Brammall and Tim Meadows, for example, are brilliant as the bickering detectives Cullen and Tolbeck. Their chemistry is excellent, and their comedic timing is spot on. Similarly, Genevieve Morris and Darren Gilshenan are hilarious as the bumbling officers Washburn and Hendy. Morris' attempts to flirt with the drivers at the checkpoint are particularly side-splitting, and Gilshenan's frustration with the metric system is relatable to anyone who has ever had to use it.

Overall, The Metric System episode is a fantastic addition to the No Activity series. It is a funny and entertaining episode that showcases what makes the show so unique. The episode has excellent writing, great acting, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. If you are a fan of the series, then The Metric System episode is not one to be missed.
