Ep 13. Return of the Hero

After a long wait, One-Punch Man season 2 has finally brought the viewers its 13th episode, "Return of the Hero." In this episode, we witness the return of Saitama and Genos to the Hero Association. Saitama is still a Class B hero while Genos is still a Class S. In the opening scene, we see the hero association preparing for the anniversary event. However, the event is plagued by issues, including a new villain named Maiko Plasma, who is attacking the city with an army of robots.

Meanwhile, Saitama is looking for a new outfit for the anniversary celebration. In the clothing store, Saitama meets a man who introduces himself as Charanko, a former disciple of the legendary martial artist Bang. Charanko thinks that Saitama is also a martial artist, and invites him to the dojo. Saitama, unaware of Charanko's true intentions, agrees to go there.

Genos, on the other hand, is running some tests on his upgraded body. He is eager to show off his new abilities to Saitama. While he is showing off his new functions, he notices the battle between the Hero Association and Maiko Plasma. He immediately reaches the site, and confronts Maiko Plasma's army of robots. Genos' new capabilities are on full display here, as he bashes and smashes all the robots that he encounters.

Throughout the episode, we see glimpses of the heroes fighting against Maiko Plasma's robots. We see the likes of Puri-Puri Prisoner, Tank-Top Master, Blue Flame, and many others fighting the robots and trying to save the city. However, they are quickly losing ground, as Maiko Plasma is using a weapon that is causing a massive explosion whenever it hits anything. The weapon is a significant threat to the city.

Saitama meets up with Charanko at the dojo, but he quickly realizes that the dojo is full of weak martial artists. He refuses to stay there and leaves, realizing that he is the strongest one around, and that he does not belong in a place like that. As he is leaving, he hears about the ongoing battle between the Hero Association and Maiko Plasma.

Saitama then rushes to the site of the battle, where he meets up with Genos. Genos is surprised to see Saitama's new outfit, but he is more shocked to see how uninterested Saitama is in the fight. He questions Saitama, asking him why he isn't fighting like the other heroes. Saitama responds in his usual nonchalant manner, saying that he does not care about fame or popularity.

Just when Saitama and Genos are about to join the fight, a new hero named "King" arrives on the scene. King is a Class S hero and is revered as the strongest hero of all time. King's arrival marks a significant turning point in the battle against Maiko Plasma, as he single-handedly takes down Maiko Plasma's army with ease, all while maintaining a calm and collected demeanor. His feats make him an instant hit amongst the public and the other heroes.

As the episode comes to an end, we see all the heroes gathered at a post-battle conference. Saitama, being his usual self, is bored and wants to leave. However, he is stopped by King, who thanks him for being an inspiration. King goes on to say that he watched Saitama's fight with Boros on TV and that Saitama's strength inspired him to become a hero. Saitama is surprised and somewhat touched by King's words, and the episode ends on a positive note.

Overall, "Return of the Hero" is an exciting episode that contains everything that fans of the series have grown to love, including epic fights, humor, and Saitama's nonchalant attitude towards heroism. The episode also introduces a new character in King, who will likely play a significant role in future episodes of the series.
