Ep 7. Lizard of Oz

Ozzy and Jack's World Detour is a reality TV show that follows the father and son duo, Ozzy and Jack Osbourne, as they travel the world in search of adventure, culture, and history. In season 3 episode 7, titled "Lizard of Oz", Ozzy and Jack embark on a road trip across the southwestern United States.

Their journey begins in the desert town of Twentynine Palms, California, where they meet with a local snake handler named Rusty. Rusty takes them on a tour of his reptile collection and introduces them to some of his most prized possessions, including a venomous Gila monster and a giant albino python.

Next, Ozzy and Jack head to the iconic Joshua Tree National Park, where they explore the unique landscape and learn about the area's rich history. They visit old mines, abandoned homesteads, and even hike to the top of a massive boulder formation known as the Skull Rock.

As they continue their journey, Ozzy and Jack stop at a roadside attraction called Pioneertown, which was built as a movie set in the 1940s and has since been converted into a tourist destination. They meet up with a local musician named Ted Quinn, who gives them a tour of the town's historic buildings and shares some of the colorful stories from its past.

Finally, Ozzy and Jack wrap up their adventure with a visit to the Salton Sea, a massive inland lake that was created by accident in the early 1900s and has since become a surreal and often eerie attraction. They explore the abandoned buildings, take a dip in the salty waters, and even encounter some of the area's unusual wildlife, including a bevy of dead fish and a curious desert tortoise.

Throughout "Lizard of Oz," Ozzy and Jack offer their signature blend of humor, insight, and curiosity as they explore some of the most fascinating and bizarre corners of the American Southwest. As always, their bond as father and son is on full display, as they share moments of both laughter and reflection on their travels together.
