Party Down is a television series that follows the lives of a group of actors who work as caterers while waiting for their big break in Hollywood. Season 1 episode 3, titled "Pepper McMasters Singles Seminar," takes the team to a singles seminar hosted by a successful self-help guru.

The episode begins with the Party Down team setting up for the singles seminar hosted by Pepper McMasters (Marilu Henner). Ron (Ken Marino), the team leader, tells his team that they need to make good impressions on the singles who are attending the seminar, as they could potentially become clients for catering events.

As the seminar begins, Henry (Adam Scott) notices that one of the attendees, Lydia (Kristen Bell), is a former classmate who used to bully him in high school. Lydia seems to have no recollection of Henry and flirts with him throughout the seminar.

As the seminar progresses, things start to go wrong. Casey (Lizzy Caplan) accidentally serves shrimp to a guest with a shellfish allergy, resulting in a medical emergency. Roman (Martin Starr) tries to impress a girl by pretending to be a producer but gets caught in his lie. Kyle (Ryan Hansen) hits on Pepper, who is not interested in him.

Meanwhile, at the seminar, Lydia is getting increasingly drunk and aggressive towards Henry. When he tries to leave the seminar, Lydia follows him and they end up having a heated argument about their high school years.

The seminar ends with Pepper announcing that she has found her new partner in business and in life, and it is not Kyle. The Party Down team packs up and heads back to their headquarters, but Henry and Lydia are left behind as they continue to argue.

Back at the Party Down office, Ron is frustrated with the team's performance at the seminar and lectures them about the importance of professionalism. The episode ends with Henry returning to the office, visibly shaken from his encounter with Lydia.

Overall, Party Down season 1 episode 3 is a hilarious and awkward exploration of the world of self-help seminars and the struggles of navigating old high school relationships. The episode provides a great platform for the show's talented cast to showcase their comedic chops, as well as their ability to create relatable and realistic characters. Whether you're a fan of cringe comedy or just looking for a quick laugh, "Pepper McMasters Singles Seminar" is definitely worth watching.
