In Fuchsia City, May discovers an abandoned train station, where an older woman named Edna sits, waiting for her husband to return. Her granddaughter tells the story: Long ago, when they were a young couple raising Pokemon Eggs together, Jonathan decided to go to the city to become a Pokemon doctor. Before he got on the train, he wrote Edna a love letter. After reading it, she ran to meet him, but despite the heavy rain, the train left on time and she was too late. She's been waiting for Jonathan to return, but everyone thinks he's dead. When May and Meowth find Edna's lost pendant, it transports them back in time to the moment Jonathan was leaving! Squirtle shoots an Ice Beam at the rain clouds, turning the weather to snow...which delays the train just enough for Edna to catch it, changing the course of history! Back in May's own time, Edna and Jonathan help her Egg hatch into an Eevee!
