Pokemon the Series: Ruby & Sapphire Season 902 Episode 12 Talking a Good Game

As our heroes arrive at the Battle Tower for Ash's sixth Battle Frontier challenge, they meet someone who seems to be able to talk to Pokemon--and understand what they're saying! Their new acquaintance tells them that it's not about speaking with words, but communicating with feelings. When Ash and friends enter the Battle Tower, they are surprised to learn that this gifted person is Frontier Brain Anabel, Ash's next opponent! Anabel admires Ash for his dedication to his Pokemon, but there's a battle to be won, and he quickly learns that Anabel can send her battle commands through telepathy! Ash's Corphish and Tauros are defeated in short order, and when Ash brings Pikachu into the fray, though it manages to take down Anabel's Alakazam, it can't stand up to Metagross. Ash suffers his first defeat in the Battle Frontier and wonders what he's going to do next!
