Pokemon the Series Season 7 Episode 9 Maxxed Out!

Ash and his friends stumble upon a small town where a popular Pokemon battle competition is happening. The competition is called, "The Mirage Battle Challenge". The group meets a boy named Max who is determined to participate in the competition. Max is too young to participate, so he looks for Ash and his friends to help him enter the competition.

Ash and Pikachu agree to help Max and they form a team. During the competition, Max's team goes head-to-head against other experienced trainers with their strongest Pokemons. Max’s enthusiasm, coupled with the support of Ash and his friends, make him determined to win the competition.

However, things take a different turn when Max's rival, a boy named Jimmy challenges him to a battle. Max, nervous and overconfident, eventually loses the battle. Disappointed, Max runs off. A concerned Ash and his friends look for Max and find him staring into the distance, he tells them about his estranged father and how he feels like giving up on training Pokémon. Ash motivates him, reminding him that every setback is an opportunity for a comeback, and they should never give up.

Max, encouraged by Ash and his friends’ words, enters the competition again. This time, he has a proper battle strategy and uses his knowledge to the fullest. Max's determination and focus help him overpower Jimmy’s team, and he wins the competition. He is awarded the Mirage medal, and the respect of his rivals.

In the end, Ash and his friends depart from the small town. They leave Max with newfound confidence and renewed determination to follow his dreams and become the best Pokemon trainer he can be.
