Meanwhile, a group of Pokémon Trainers are competing in a tournament where the winner gets to keep an evolutionary stone that can make even the weakest of Pokémon stronger. Ash and his friends decide to join the tournament and compete against the other trainers. However, things take a turn when one of the trainers, who has been using the evolutionary stones to make his Pokémon stronger, takes it too far and starts battling other trainers without their consent.
Ash and his friends team up with the scientists from the facility to try and stop this trainer and put an end to the evolutionary war. Along the way, they learn about the dangers of relying too heavily on evolutionary stones and the importance of respecting the natural process of growth and change in Pokémon.
As the battle heats up between the trainers, Ash and his friends must use all of their knowledge and skills to defeat the rampant trainer and restore balance to the region.
