About Love is the sixth episode of the thirty-third season of the Emmy award-winning documentary series, POV. This episode delves deep into the complexities of relationships and the many forms that love can take, through the stories of three unique individuals.

The first story focuses on a young couple, Haddy and Joshua, who met in a New York City subway station and fell in love. Haddy, a Muslim-American, and Joshua, a Jewish-American, navigate the challenges of their relationship, mainly due to their different cultural and religious upbringings. The film explores how they balance their cultural differences while maintaining mutual respect for each other's beliefs and practices.

The second story introduces us to Teo, a transgender man from Mexico, and his partner, Mona, a cisgender woman from Lebanon. The couple shares their journey of finding love that transcends gender and borders. Through their love, they help each other navigate the challenges of immigration and cultural differences, and come up with creative solutions to keep their relationship alive.

The third and final story is about a woman named Anne who lives in a retirement community in Florida. Anne, who in her own words, "never loved anybody," shares her life story and the experiences that led her to decide that love isn't for her. Despite this, Anne has found joy in her life, whether it’s through her love of plants or her passion for Yiddish music.

Overall, About Love highlights the beautiful and sometimes complicated nature of relationships and love. It’s a film that celebrates the diversity of the human experience, going beyond societal norms and boundaries and encouraging us to embrace the differences that make us human. It’s a poignant and timely reminder that love knows no boundaries and that it’s a universal language that we all can speak.
