Ep 1. The Stranger

Tariq St. Patrick, the son of infamous drug lord James "Ghost" St. Patrick, is trying to navigate life post-high school and after his father's death. He is attending an Ivy League university, but is struggling to balance his school work, drug dealing to support his family, and his desire to get his mother Tasha out of prison.

In the first episode, titled "The Stranger," Tariq is confronted by a stranger who reveals that he knows about Tariq's drug dealing and threatens to expose him if Tariq does not pay him a large sum of money. Tariq turns to his wealthy roommate, Brayden, for help, but Brayden is reluctant to get involved.

Meanwhile, Tasha's trial is looming and Tariq needs to come up with a plan to prove her innocence. He turns to his father's former lawyer, Davis McLean, who agrees to help, but at a steep price. Tariq also reaches out to his mother's former friend, Lakeisha, who is now married to Tommy Egan, James "Ghost" St. Patrick's former partner in crime.

As Tariq struggles to keep his multiple worlds from colliding, he must also deal with his strained relationship with his younger sister, Yaz, who blames him for their mother's incarceration. Additionally, Tariq must navigate his complicated feelings towards his father, who he still has vivid dreams about, and work towards uncovering the truth about his father's death.
