Ep 1. Pilot

The show Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists season 1 episode 1 is named Pilot. The episode starts with Allison moving to a new town, Beacon Heights, to start teaching in a college. The show revolves around three mysterious murders, and also around five students who are perfect in their fields but trying to cope up with their secrets.

The first character we are introduced to is Alison, who is now working as a professor in the Beacon Heights. Later, we meet the main students and the cast of the show - Ava, who is a fashion student and comes from a wealthy background, Caitlin who is quiet, reserved and who is a science student, and Dylan who is a talented violinist. Mason, who is also a student, gets into a fight with Dylan during his violin performance. Later Alison tries to console Mason and offers him advice on ways to improve his grades.

We also witness the complicated relationship between Dylan and his boyfriend Andrew. They are having trouble because Andrew tries to hide their relationship from people, and Dylan wants to be open about it.

There is also a lot of tension between Ava and her boyfriend Zach who is possessive and controlling and he doesn't like the fact that she wants to have her own career and be independent. Caitlin's mother is seen as overbearing and controlling and she is always interfering in Caitlin's life. Caitlin doesn't appreciate her mother's interference, but the fact that she is responsible for paying for Caitlin's college education makes it hard for Caitlin to speak out.

As the show progresses, we see how all the students are struggling, trying to keep up their perfect image in front of their peers and professors but also dealing with their personal lives. Alison meets with the five students and highlights the importance of being perfect in every aspect of their life, which includes their academics, social lives, and extra-curricular activities.

We are then introduced to Nolan, the son of Beacon Heights' Founding Family, who seems to have it all - the looks, the brains, the wealth. He is also Caitlin's ex-boyfriend. It appears that he is the one who is putting pressure on all the students to maintain their perfect image. Nolan prompts his girlfriend Taylor to get into a public fight with Ava, which makes Ava look bad in front of the school.

Later, we see a party Nolan is throwing, and everyone is invited. Caitlin tries to avoid Nolan at the party, but he finds her and tells her he wants to get back together. Meanwhile, Dylan sees Andrew kissing someone else. He becomes angry and ends up getting drunk at the party. Ava's boyfriend Zach tries to calm Dylan down, but it doesn't work as Dylan tries to get into a fight with Nolan and his friends.

The episode ends with a big twist. Nolan is found dead in his pool, and all five of the students are suspects. Alison and the police are trying to investigate who is the real culprit. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, leaving the audience wondering who killed Nolan.
