Meanwhile, Lord Rama and his brother Lakshmana wander deeper into the forest and come across a magical golden deer, which Sita takes a liking to. She asks Rama to catch it for her, and he obliges, but warns her not to leave the safety of their dwelling. However, Sita is tricked by Ravana, who disguises himself as a mendicant, and is lured away from the safety of her husband and brother-in-law.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger as Sita is kidnapped by Ravana and taken to his kingdom of Lanka. Lord Rama and Lakshmana frantically search for her, and their quest for her rescue becomes the driving force of the show.
