Greg, Schmeg is the sixteenth episode of the first season of the TV show Reaper. The series follows the life of Sam Oliver, a slacker who discovers that he is now a bounty hunter for the Devil himself. In this episode, Sam and his friends Sock and Ben are given the task of capturing the soul of a down-on-his-luck salesman named Greg.
Greg is a salesman who has been working for a financial company for years but hasn't been making any sales lately. After failing to make any deals, Greg receives a visit from a woman named Lila, who offers him a "miracle" product that will help him make sales. She tells him that the product is so effective that he won't even need to make sales pitches anymore.
Despite the questionable nature of the product, Greg decides to take a chance on it and starts using it to make sales. However, he soon discovers that the product has a negative side effect - it makes his customers fixate on him to the point of obsession. Greg's clients start calling him constantly and showing up at his home unannounced, driving him to the brink of insanity.
As Sam and his friends begin their mission to capture Greg's soul, they discover that Lila is actually a demon who has been manipulating Greg into using her product. Lila is determined to prevent Greg from dying and going to Hell, as she believes that he belongs with her. Meanwhile, Greg is terrified of the idea of dying and refuses to accept that he is going to Hell.
As Sam and his friends try to convince Greg to come with them, Lila fights back with everything she has. She uses her powers as a demon to create illusions and manipulate people in an attempt to keep Greg from leaving. Despite her efforts, Sam and his friends are eventually able to claim Greg's soul and send him to Hell.
The episode ends with Sam and his friends having a moment of reflection about the nature of the job they have been tasked with. They realize that, as much as they joke around and try to avoid their responsibilities, the work they are doing is important and has real consequences for the souls they capture. The episode ends on a somber note, with the characters reflecting on the weight of their choices and the things they have seen while working for the Devil.
Overall, Greg, Schmeg is a well-written and engaging episode of Reaper. The show has a dark sense of humor that is balanced perfectly with moments of genuine emotion and drama. The characters are all well-developed and likable, and the plot is engaging and original. If you're a fan of supernatural comedies with a bit of a bite, Reaper is definitely worth checking out.
