Ep 3. A Leash Is Not a Guinea Pig

In Single Parents season 1 episode 3, titled "A Leash Is Not a Guinea Pig," the group of single parents continues to navigate the challenges of raising children on their own. This time, focus is put on the character of Angie, played by Leighton Meester, and her difficult relationship with her son's father.

As the episode begins, Angie is struggling to find a way to keep her son, Graham, from getting too attached to a class pet guinea pig. She enlists the help of her fellow single parents to distract Graham and keep him from wanting to take the guinea pig home. However, her efforts are ultimately unsuccessful and she ends up having to take the guinea pig home herself.

While dealing with the guinea pig, Angie also becomes embroiled in a conflict with Graham's father, Derek (played by Adam Brody). Derek is back in town for a business trip and wants to spend time with his son, but Angie is hesitant to let him do so after he bailed on their family when Graham was just a baby.

Despite her reservations, Angie eventually agrees to let Derek see Graham. However, things don't go as smoothly as planned and Derek ends up doing something that threatens to ruin the relationship between him and his son forever.

As always, Single Parents combines humor with poignant moments as it explores the ups and downs of parenting. Viewers can expect to see the same strong performances from the show's talented cast, including Meester, Brad Garrett, Taran Killam, and Kimrie Lewis. "A Leash Is Not a Guinea Pig" is yet another entertaining and relatable episode of this heartwarming series.
