Ep 9. A Place Where Men Can Be Men

In Single Parents Season 2, Episode 9, titled "A Place Where Men Can Be Men," the gang is trying to figure out what it truly means to be a man, which leads them on a wild and hilarious journey of self-discovery. When Will discovers that Miggy has a secret man cave where he keeps all his "man things," he feels left out and emasculated, so he sets out to find his own place to assert his masculinity.

Meanwhile, Angie takes matters into her own hands when she discovers that Graham has been going to her ex-husband's house to watch wrestling and bond with him. Angie is jealous and hurt, feeling like she's losing her place as Graham's primary caregiver and confidante. To try and win Graham back, Angie decides to learn everything there is to know about wrestling to impress him the next time they watch it together.

At the same time, Poppy is struggling with finding the balance between being a successful businesswoman and a supportive partner to Douglas. She feels like she's neglecting their relationship and wants to make it up to him, so she decides to plan a romantic surprise for him. However, when her plans fail spectacularly, Poppy learns that she doesn't have to be perfect to make Douglas happy.

Throughout all of these storylines, the theme of toxic masculinity is explored in a comedic and lighthearted way. The characters learn that there's no one definition of what it means to be a man, and that vulnerability and openness can be just as important as strength and toughness. While the episode may be silly at times, it still manages to touch on some real issues that affect men and women alike.
