Ep 12. Guadalajara & Puerto Vallarta

In the twelfth episode of season five of Smart Travels with Rudy Maxa, the host takes viewers on a journey through the Mexican cities of Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta.

The episode begins in Guadalajara, the second-largest city in Mexico and considered the cultural capital of the country. Rudy highlights the city's colonial architecture, sprawling plazas, and vibrant markets. He takes viewers to the Hospicio Cabanas, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its impressive murals by artist José Clemente Orozco. Rudy also visits the Instituto Cultural Cabañas, which houses contemporary art exhibitions.

Next, Rudy heads to Tlaquepaque, a town on the outskirts of Guadalajara known for its artisans and galleries. He explores the area's pottery and glassblowing traditions and visits some of the town's top shops.

In the second half of the episode, Rudy heads to Puerto Vallarta, a coastal town set on the Pacific Ocean. He takes viewers to the Malecon, a boardwalk stretching along the oceanfront, where artists and performers line the sidewalks. Rudy also explores the city's vibrant nightlife and takes a food tour, sampling local specialties like fish tacos and ceviche.

Rudy also explores some of Puerto Vallarta's beautiful resorts, including the CasaMagna Marriott and the Four Seasons. He takes part in activities like surfing, snorkeling, and zip-lining, enjoying the outdoor activities that this popular tourist destination has to offer.
