Soul Mates is an Australian comedy series that premiered in 2014 on Seeso. The show stars Christiaan Van Vuuren, Nicholas Boshier, and Rachel House. Soul Mates is centered around two fictional characters who share a unique bond, one that crosses time and space, and brings them together in every incarnation of their lives. The show features various historical eras and digs into the lives of the two main characters while they exchange roles, playing each other's archenemy in every episode.

The two main characters are a caveman, Terry (played by Christiaan Van Vuuren), and an ancient Roman philosopher named Stuart (played by Nicholas Boshier). They are soulmates, and whether they’re at war or love, death or peace, they will always find themselves side by side, no matter what era or location.

The show follows these two as they navigate historical settings such as Ancient Rome, a medieval castle in Europe, a cowboy town in the American wild west, and many more. Throughout their many lives, they remain unbreakable and connected, even when they find themselves on opposing sides of a battle.

Terry, the caveman, is the simple-minded half of the duo. He is always struggling to understand society and technology in every incarnation of his life, and often falls for Stuart’s manipulative ways. In contrast, Stuart is the intellectual half of the pair. He uses his knowledge of philosophy and manipulation to control Terry and take advantage of his trusting and naive nature.

Rachel House plays various roles across seasons one and two. She is the mother to Terry's love interest in the first season and as well as the evil villain of a Super Hero-universe story line in the second season. Her versatility as an actress shines, as she plays vastly different characters each episode.

The chemistry between the actors is fantastic. Van Vuuren and Boshier have a deep understanding of their characters and display such awkwardness-like humor and perseverance that allows the storyline to flow effortlessly from episode to episode. Both actors never falter and consistently deliver a performance that is both hysterical and heartfelt.

The show is visually stunning, each episode paints a bright and bold picture with different costumes, set designs, and interesting locations that are used to transport the characters back and forth through time. The attention to detail is outstanding and the inclusion of humor is impressive, given the show's format and concept. The show is a perfect blend of physical and intellectual humor, making it enjoyable for all viewers, no matter their background or age.

Overall, Soul Mates is a unique and entertaining show that showcases the talents of its actors and writers. The concept of the show is fantastic, and it is executed flawlessly in a way that has never been seen before. The combination of humor, romance, action, and adventure makes Soul Mates an exceptional show that is easily binge-worthy. The show has a devoted following and a second season that builds on the promises established in the first one. It is a great opportunity for those who are looking to watch something unique that will make them laugh.
