South Side is a hilarious comedy show that focuses on the lives of a group of quirky and endearing characters living on the south side of Chicago. The show takes viewers on a rollercoaster ride of hilarious and outrageous scenarios, featuring a diverse cast of actors who bring to life relatable characters that make up the melting pot that is Chicago.

At the center of the show is Simon James (played by Sultan Salahuddin), a recent college graduate who dreams of working at a Fortune 500 company but finds himself stuck working at a local Rent-T-Own store. His best friend Kareem (Kareme Young), is constantly trying to make it as a rapper while juggling his full-time job at the chicken joint. The two of them form an unlikely duo that gets in and out of hilarious shenanigans.

Chandra Russell plays Sergeant Turner, one of the few female police officers in the precinct who is determined to make a name for herself in a male-dominated field. Sergeant Turner is ambitious, competitive, and often finds herself in tricky situations due to her deep obsession with catching bad guys.

One of the key elements of the show is the love-hate relationship between the police officers and the community they are tasked with protecting. The show does an excellent job of highlighting the underlying tensions that exist between the officers and the community, while still managing to keep the tone light and funny.

South Side is an excellent example of how to use humor to address complex issues that are often swept under the rug. The show covers a range of topics, such as racial profiling, gentrification, and police brutality
