Ep 1. Lucky and the Unbreakable Spirit

In the first episode of Spirit Riding Free season 1, "Lucky and the Unbreakable Spirit," we are introduced to the main character, 12-year-old Lucky Prescott. She has recently moved to the small western town of Miradero with her father, Jim, who is a train conductor. Lucky is not thrilled about the move and misses her life in the city, but her curiosity about the horses and cowboys in the town quickly takes over.

One day, Lucky's curiosity leads her to sneak out of the house and explore the town. She ends up at a nearby corral where she sees a beautiful and wild stallion named Spirit. However, when Lucky gets too close, Spirit bucks her off and runs away. Lucky is determined to befriend Spirit and learns that there is a horse auction happening in town. She is hopeful that Spirit will be there and asks her father to take her.

At the auction, Lucky sees Spirit but quickly realizes that the horse is being bidding on by a group of ruthless horse wranglers who plan to break him and sell him for a profit. Lucky is heartbroken, but she comes up with a plan to save Spirit. She has been eyeing a horse trailer that is about to be auctioned off, and she convinced her father to buy it.

With the help of her new friends Pru and Abigail, Lucky frees Spirit and leads him onto the trailer. However, in their escape, the horse trailer gets caught in a fence and Spirit gets spooked. Lucky is determined to not let Spirit go and gets on the horse's back, riding away from the wranglers.

The episode ends with Lucky and Spirit bonding, and Lucky realizing that the move to Miradero may not be so bad after all.
