Spy Kids: Mission Critical is an animated TV show about a secret spy agency that trains children to become spies to save the world from malicious threats. The team is informed that if the device is activated, it will give the user incredible strength and powers, but it will also drive them insane. The device must be retrieved before S.W.A.M.P. can use it to wreak havoc on the world.

Juni and Carmen lead the young team on their first mission, and the group must use their unique skills to outsmart the criminal organization. The team is sent to a secret underground lab, where The Armadillo is being held.

The group encounters a series of dangerous obstacles, including traps and obstacles that test their abilities. They must use their wits and special talents to navigate through the maze of tunnels and corridors that lead to the device.

Along the way, they also face off against S.W.A.M.P.'s top agents, including a powerful and cunning assassin, known as "The Scorpion." The team must work together under extreme pressure to overcome the odds and secure The Armadillo.

The mission is not without its mishaps, with Valencia almost being exposed because of her inability to stay off of social media, and Jorge's latest invention potentially blowing up in their faces. However, the team finds a way to persevere and ultimately complete the mission successfully.

The episode ends with the team returning to Mission Control with The Armadillo in hand. However, the victory is short-lived, as they realize that one of their own may have been working against them all along.
