Ep 5. Hourman and Dr. Mid-Nite

As Courtney continues her mission to gather a new team of Justice Society of America members, she seeks out Rick Tyler, the son of former Hourman Rex Tyler. With the help of her stepfather, Pat Dugan, Courtney tracks down Rick at a boxing gym and attempts to convince him to join the JSA and take up the mantle of Hourman. However, Rick is reluctant to take on his father's heroic legacy and reveals he has a troubled past.

Meanwhile, Pat Dugan also sets out to recruit a new member for the JSA, the reclusive Dr. Mid-Nite. Pat tracks down the brilliant Dr. Charles McNider and convinces him to help the team in their fight against the Injustice Society. However, Dr. McNider has not been Dr. Mid-Nite in years and has become complacent in his role as a physician.

As the new JSA members are introduced to each other and begin to train together, tensions rise between Rick and Courtney, who clash over their different motivations for becoming heroes. In an attempt to prove himself to Courtney, Rick takes the Hourman hourglass and embarks on his own mission, putting himself in danger.

Meanwhile, the Injustice Society continues to plot their next move, with the arrival of a new mysterious member, Shiv, who is revealed to have a personal connection to Courtney's past.
