Superhuman is an American television show that premiered on FOX in June 2017. This competition series features contestants who posses extraordinary abilities that transcend human limitations. The first episode of the series, titled "Superhuman," introduces the audience to the format of the show, as well the judges and contestants.

Hosted by Kal Penn, the episode begins with the introduction of the judges, who are referred to as "Super Humans." These judges include Mike Tyson, a former heavyweight boxing champion, neurosurgeon Dr. Rahul Jandial, and actress/comedienne Christina Pazsitzky.

The contestants then take the stage, each with their own unique ability. The first contestant is a man named Rob, who claims to have a photographic memory. Rob must memorize a 100-digit number and then recite it back, which he does flawlessly. The judges are amazed by his feat, with Dr. Jandial stating that Rob's memory abilities are a result of the brain's ability to create networks.

The second contestant, Alex, is able to solve complex mathematical equations with lightning speed. He is given a series of equations and is able to answer them within seconds. The judges are equally impressed by Alex's abilities, with Mike Tyson stating that he is "freakishly good."

The third contestant, Yasha, is a contortionist who can twist her body into impossible positions. She performs a series of impressive feats, including bending her body backwards and standing on her head. The judges are both amazed and concerned with Yasha's abilities, with Dr. Jandial stating that her flexibility could be dangerous if not properly managed.

Next up is a young woman named Susan, who can identify a person's emotional state simply by looking at their face. This ability is known as "microexpression detection," and Susan is able to correctly identify the emotions of several individuals on stage. The judges are astounded by her abilities, with Christina Pazsitzky stating that Susan's ability to read emotions is "incredibly useful."

The final contestant is a man named Matt, who claims to have a heightened sense of smell. He is able to identify various scents with his eyes closed, including coffee, lemons, and even a dirty diaper. The judges are skeptical of Matt's abilities at first, but are ultimately convinced by his impressive performance.

After all of the contestants have performed, the judges deliberate on who should be named the "Superhuman of the Week." The decision is a difficult one, as each contestant displayed impressive abilities. In the end, Susan is named the Superhuman of the Week for her microexpression detection abilities.

Overall, the first episode of Superhuman provides an entertaining and fascinating look at individuals with extraordinary abilities. The judges' reactions to the contestants' performances are genuine and often incredulous, adding to the overall excitement of the show. With a mix of science and spectacle, Superhuman is a must-watch for anyone interested in the limits of human potential.
