The team searches for college football coach Jim Cooper (TIM DeKAY - "Carniv?le"), who goes missing after being terminated for his team's unusually dismal season performance. The investigation soon uncovers that the coach's new policy of suspending players for academic and behavioral missteps caused the football team to repeatedly play without its star athletes and to suffer frequent defeats. As a result, Jack and his squad suspect a group of angry players, members of the school administration and a seamy high-stakes gambler--all of whom encountered financial losses as a result of the losing streak. Meanwhile, Jack must make a difficult career and life decision when his wife, Maria (recurring guest star TALIA BALSAM - "L.A. Doctors"), surprises him with her strong desire to relocate their family to Chicago, where she was just offered an excellent job. TIM MATHESON ("The West Wing," "Animal House") directed the episode.

Kyle was excited to find out Black Mountain Outfitters still had one elk tag left. Kyle and Jake had high expectations going into the hunt but were met with extreme heat upon arrival. The first 5 days were hot and the elk didn't talk much at all. It came down to the last day to get the job done.

Sometimes things go as planned, but oftentimes they don't. Nic had a long season logging over forty hunts before this mature buck offered him a shot. It all came together to the final moment of truth when a neighbor sounded of his rifle. The buck started to leave and Nic went with plan B and made the shot count.

Team Member Josh Christensen takes his wife, Taylor, gun hunting in Tennessee. Taylor was able to take two awesome Tenneessee bucks out of the same blind. The first buck was with her muzzleloader, then a week later she made an awesome long-range shot with a .243 to take out their target10 pointer.

Chris set out to hunt for does on the last night of Second Gun Season in Illinois. After shooting a doe with his Savage 220 shotgun, Chris had two bucks come down the same trail. These bucks were very wary with the doe lying in the middle of their trail. Chris dropped the hammer on a freak buck he's had several years of history with at 25 yards, all while he sniffed the doe.

As a bowhunter, sometimes you have to get aggressive when the time is right. Justin Roepke switched up setups three times before 10am and by using his OnX Hunt app, he figured out where exactly he needed to be. Justin set up within 40 yards of this bedded buck laying in the switchgrass. It's truly incredible how he was able to set everything up with the buck being bedded so close.

After two years of sitting on the sideline, Jennifer was finally able to make it to the woods again. Expectations were to shoot a doe, but a big mature eight point had other plans. Having children is quite possibly the greatest gift in life, but also requires a lot of time, which is why Jennifer has been out of the game for so long. It's safe to say now that she's BAAAACK and in a big way!

Nate Adamson had vehicle troubles that led him to rent a sweet minivan during the peak of the rut in Illinois. Nate didn't let the car troubles hold him back and he was able to arrow a nice 8 pointer on his buddy's new property.

Halloween morning was one for the personal record books for Matt Lape! He was able to make a perfect shot on an Illinois giant 10 pointer for his best buck to date!

Jake Vancil decided to try some new tactics and hang and hunt in a new area. With less than ideal conditions and bumping deer on the way in, it wasn't looking good to start off the hunt. Things quickly changed with a well places arrow while the big buck came into a scrape 10 yards.

Kathryn has been trying to tag her first buck with a bow for the past five years! She has put in the time and effort and it finally happened in early October in Illinois. It's safe to say she's a bowhunter for life.
