Ep 2. Invasion of the Squirrelanoids

In the second episode of season 2 of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012), titled "Invasion of the Squirrelanoids," the turtles find themselves facing off against a new threat--a group of mutated squirrel hybrids. They come up with a plan to lure the creatures into a trap by using some of Donatello's gadgets, but it quickly becomes apparent that the Squirrelanoids are a cunning and adaptable foe.

As the episode progresses, we learn more about the Squirrelanoids and their origins. It turns out that they were created by none other than April's father, Kirby. Kirby had been experimenting with mutagen in an effort to create a cure for his daughter's powers, but something went wrong and the Squirrelanoids were born instead. Realizing the danger that his creations posed, Kirby had locked himself and April in their home to keep the creatures contained.

In the end, the turtles are able to defeat the Squirrelanoids by using a combination of teamwork, strategy, and good old-fashioned turtle power. The creatures are returned to their original non-mutated states and sent back into the wild. April and her father are left stunned by what has transpired, and the turtles are left slightly shaken by the intensity of the battle.

Overall, "Invasion of the Squirrelanoids" is a fast-paced, action-packed episode that showcases the turtles at their best. With a formidable foe, a compelling backstory, and plenty of humor and heart, it's a great addition to the series.
