Episode 2 of That Mitchell & Webb Look season 1 is a sketch comedy show that features a variety of absurd and hilarious scenes performed by the comedic duo of David Mitchell and Robert Webb.

The episode opens with a mock game show called "The Quiz Broadcast," in which two contestants answer increasingly ridiculous questions, such as "Who would win in a fight: a bear or a giant robot?" The host, played by Mitchell, presents the questions with a straight face while the contestants struggle to come up with answers that make any sense at all.

Next up is a sketch about a man who is convinced that every stranger he sees is a famous celebrity. As he walks through his daily life, he greets everyone as if they're the likes of Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie, or Brad Pitt. The reactions he gets from these unsuspecting strangers range from bemusement to outright confusion.

One of the standout sketches in the episode is a parody of the popular British detective series "Midsomer Murders." Mitchell plays the lead detective, who is investigating a series of bizarre and nonsensical deaths in the idyllic countryside. Webb plays his assistant, who repeatedly tries to inject logic and reason into the investigation, only to be dismissed by Mitchell's character. The sketch is full of wry commentary on the genre conventions of detective shows, and ends with a hilarious twist.

Another classic sketch from the episode is "The Surprising Adventures of Sir Digby Chicken Caesar," a recurring segment that follows the misadventures of a homeless man (played by Mitchell) and his faithful sidekick (Webb), who imagines himself to be a noble knight. In this particular episode, the duo go on a quest to find a legendary "chicken kebab." Along the way, they encounter a series of strange characters and obstacles, including a gang of metrosexuals and a giant mechanical spider. The sketch is a perfect showcase for Mitchell and Webb's offbeat humor and impeccable comic timing.

The episode also features a number of shorter sketches and interludes, such as a mock infomercial for a ridiculous product called the "Face Blanket," which is marketed as a solution for people who are tired of looking at their partner's face while they sleep. There's also a parody of a political talk show, in which the guests are a bickering married couple who can't stop arguing long enough to answer any questions. And at the end of the episode, Mitchell and Webb perform a hilarious rendition of "The Magic Number" by De La Soul, accompanied by a choir of enthusiastic children.

Overall, Episode 2 of That Mitchell & Webb Look season 1 is a fantastic showcase of the duo's unique brand of comedy. The sketches are varied and unpredictable, the humor is both silly and clever, and the performances are always top-notch. Whether you're a longtime fan of Mitchell and Webb or just discovering their comedy for the first time, this episode is sure to leave you laughing out loud.
