Ep 1. Eden

In "The 100" season 5 premiere episode entitled "Eden," we return to the post-apocalyptic world several years after the destruction caused by Praimfaya. Clarke has been desperately trying to survive alone on the Earth's surface, as she believes she is the only human left alive following the radiation event. Eventually, she discovers a small oasis in the midst of the desolate landscape and tries to create a home for herself in this Eden-like location.

In the meantime, the occupants of the Ark have finally returned to Earth, after spending several years in deep space. They land on the planet and begin to assess the damage that's been done to the surface. They quickly realize that things have changed significantly since they left. While they try to find a way to get in touch with Clarke and reunite with their lost friends, they must also contend with the new dangers that the post-apocalyptic world poses.

One of these dangers is the arrival of the prisoners on a prison transport. These prisoners are a violent and unpredictable bunch, with their own ideas about how things should be run on the post-apocalyptic Earth. While the prisoners are initially contained within the transport ship, they don't take kindly to being imprisoned and start to cause trouble for the Ark inhabitants.

As the episode progresses, we also learn more about how Clarke has been surviving on her own. She's had to fend for herself against the elements, scavengers, and other dangers. Her days are filled with a never-ending cycle of gathering resources, taking shelter, and avoiding any potential threats. Despite her best efforts, however, Clarke is unable to shake the feeling that something is missing. She yearns for the companionship and support of her friends, but at the same time, she's worried that they might have been affected by the radiation event in unforeseeable ways.

The tension builds throughout the episode as the characters try to find their bearings in this new world. The Ark inhabitants must figure out how to coexist with the prisoners, while Clark must deal with the reality of her solitude. Meanwhile, the prisoners start to make plans to make their mark on the post-apocalyptic Earth.

As the episode concludes, we're left with a sense of uncertainty about what's to come. The characters have been pushed to their limits, and while they've all survived thus far, they know that there are many more dangers and challenges to come. We're left wondering what further surprises and twists await us in the new season of "The 100."
