Lincoln Loud is back with his family of ten sisters, but this time he's not the star of the show. The Casagrandes is a spinoff series of the popular animated show The Loud House, set in the bustling city of Great Lakes City. It follows the lives of the titular Casagrande family, which consists of Ronnie Anne, her brother Bobby, their mother Maria, and their extended family who all live together under one roof in the apartment complex they own.
In season 2 episode 11, titled "Saving Face/Matters of the Kart," the Casagrande family faces a double dose of trouble. In the first half of the episode, Ronnie Anne is gearing up for the big street fair, but when she shows up with a pimple on her face, she's mortified. Afraid that people will judge her and make fun of her, Ronnie Anne becomes obsessed with hiding and covering up her blemish. She even goes so far as to wear a paper bag over her head and miss out on the fair altogether. Eventually, Ronnie Anne's friends and family step in to remind her that her worth is not defined by her looks, and they help her embrace her imperfections.
Meanwhile, in the second half of the episode, Bobby is determined to win the big go-kart race at the fair. With the help of Carl, Sid, and Adelaide, Bobby builds a supercharged kart that he's sure will lead him to victory. However, he soon realizes that winning isn't everything when he accidentally injures Carl in a practice run. Feeling guilty and ashamed, Bobby considers dropping out of the race altogether, but with encouragement from his family, he learns that it's important to take responsibility for his actions and make things right with Carl.
"Saving Face/Matters of the Kart" is a heartwarming episode that explores themes of self-acceptance, forgiveness, and the importance of family. Through Ronnie Anne's struggle with her appearance and Bobby's dilemma with the go-kart race, the Casagrande family proves that they are a strong and supportive unit, always there to help each other through life's challenges. Kids and adults alike will find themselves rooting for Ronnie Anne and Bobby as they navigate their way towards self-discovery and redemption. Overall, "Saving Face/Matters of the Kart" is a fun and touching episode that showcases the best of what The Casagrandes has to offer.
