Ep 15. Targets

Alicia and Lucca are representing a website designer named Dylan Stack in a lawsuit against NSA whistleblower Jeff Delinger and his lawyers. The lawsuit revolves around Dylan's website, which took down a hate site owned by Delinger's supporter. The hate site went down after Dylan launched a cyber-attack on their servers. Delinger and his lawyers are suing Dylan for cyber-terrorism.

Meanwhile, Eli and Marissa are conducting a focus group about the possibility of Peter running for president. Their focus group is going well until a participant tells them that she knows about a potential scandal involving Alicia. Eli and Marissa begin to panic and realize they need to find out what the woman knows before she can spread the rumor any further.

Back in court, Alicia and Lucca receive some unexpected help from Diane, who is representing the opposing side. Diane's client is the parent of a soldier who was killed in action and the hate site posted derogatory comments about his son. Diane feels strongly about taking down hate sites and wants to see Delinger's lawsuit against Dylan fail. However, their alliance is put to the test when Dylan offers to take the fall for the cyber-attack in order to save his website.

Outside of court, Cary is representing a young black man who was shot and killed by a police officer. The prosecution is making a case for self-defense, but Cary is convinced that it was a racially motivated killing. He enlists the help of Jason and Alicia to find evidence to support their case.

As the episode progresses, the various storylines begin to intertwine. Alicia and Lucca discover that the hate site's owner is actually a corporation with ties to Delinger's lawyers. They realize that they can use this information to prove that Delinger and his lawyers were behind the cyber-attack on their client's website. Meanwhile, Eli and Marissa learn that the woman who mentioned the potential scandal involving Alicia was actually referring to a rumor started by an opposing campaign.

In the end, justice is served as Dylan's case is dismissed and Cary is able to prove that the police officer acted out of racial bias. The episode ends with Alicia and Lucca celebrating their victory and Cary thanking them for their help on his case. As the season draws to a close, it's clear that Alicia and her colleagues will continue to fight for justice in and out of the courtroom.
