Heather's Story - Highlights is a 20 minute cut of Step by Step: Heather's Story. Heather, 8, has Down syndrome. She began her journey into inclusive education in 1994, shortly after the passing of the ADA in 1990. Highlights works well as a classroom aid.

Inclusion High was filmed in Mather High School, a renowned Chicago high school with students from 50 countries from around the world. This program addresses the challenges and rewards of following through on the promise of inclusive education. Co-teaching is demonstrated, which is a method that uses additional teachers or teacher aids to ensure all students get the help they need.

Families Friends Futures introduces Betsy, 12, and Larissa, 3. Betsy has begun inclusive education with a 6th grade class and Larissa is in an inclusive community nursery school. This program is incredibly heartwarming, showing the outpouring of love from each child's community and classroom. Both children actively participate with their peers in and out of school.

Issues for Educators is a 20 minute film that focuses on teachers, administrators and aides. See the initial reaction of teachers to inclusion as they discuss the realities of implementation, their strategies for effective inclusion, and the necessity of support systems. This film pulls back the curtain on how teachers and administrators implemented and developed inclusion at their school.

Choices lays the groundwork for understanding the beginning of inclusive education. Choices provides a comprehensive look at successful inclusion into general education classrooms in 1991, just one year after the passage of the ADA.
