The Indian Doctor season 2 episode 2 is titled "Immunity." The show is set in the 1960s in a small Welsh mining town called Trefelin. The episode follows the life of Dr. Prem Sharma, an Indian doctor who has been working in Trefelin for a few months.

In this episode, the mining company decides to immunize all the miners against smallpox. The vaccination would be administered by the company doctor, but some of the miners are reluctant to get the shots, fearing that it might make them sick. Dr. Sharma is called in by the company to convince the miners to get vaccinated.

Dr. Sharma manages to convince most of the miners to get vaccinated by explaining the benefits of the vaccination and the dangers of smallpox. However, one miner, Mr. Roberts, is still reluctant to get vaccinated. Dr. Sharma tries to reason with him but fails. He then decides to visit Mr. Roberts' home to try and convince him to get vaccinated.

At Mr. Roberts' home, Dr. Sharma meets his daughter, Bethan, who has Down's syndrome. Dr. Sharma notices that Bethan is also sick, so he examines her and finds that she has a heart condition that requires immediate attention. He tells Mr. Roberts that Bethan needs to go to the hospital to undergo surgery.

Mr. Roberts is hesitant to let Bethan go to the hospital, as he mistrusts doctors and hospitals. Dr. Sharma tries to reason with him and explains that the surgery could save Bethan's life. Mr. Roberts eventually agrees to let his daughter go to the hospital.

At the hospital, Bethan undergoes successful surgery, and her condition improves. Dr. Sharma is pleased with the outcome and is glad that he was able to convince Mr. Roberts to trust the hospital.

Meanwhile, in Trefelin, a local woman, Mrs. Evans, is accused of stealing from a local shop. The shopkeeper, Mrs. Abbot, is convinced that Mrs. Evans stole from her and alerts the police. However, Dr. Sharma suspects that Mrs. Evans may be innocent and decides to investigate the matter himself.

Dr. Sharma talks to Mrs. Evans and finds out that she is a victim of domestic abuse. Her husband, an alcoholic, has been physically abusing her and taking her money to feed his drinking habit. Dr. Sharma realizes that Mrs. Evans may have taken the money from the shop to feed her children, who have been neglected by her alcoholic husband.

Dr. Sharma confronts Mr. Evans and convinces him to stop drinking and take care of his family. He also talks to Mrs. Abbot and convinces her to drop the charges against Mrs. Evans.

In the end, Dr. Sharma is able to help the miners get vaccinated, save Bethan's life, and clear Mrs. Evans' name. The episode ends on a positive note, with Dr. Sharma making a difference in the lives of the people of Trefelin.
