The episode begins with the North Korean detective Gang Tae-eul trying to come to terms with the fact that she has been transported to a parallel universe.

Meanwhile, the Korean emperor, Lee Gon, is trying to figure out who tried to assassinate him and why. He is suspicious of everyone around him, including his own family members, but he's determined to find the truth no matter what.

The episode also introduces us to Lee Gon's loyal bodyguard, Jo Yeong, and his stepsister Lee Rim, who is a powerful schemer and is behind the assassination attempt on Lee Gon. The two storylines eventually converge as Gang Tae-eul and Lee Gon meet in the other universe and team up to unravel the mystery behind the assassination attempt. They discover that Lee Rim is the mastermind behind the plot and that he has been manipulating people in both universes to achieve his own goals.

At the end of the episode, Lee Gon and Gang Tae-eul return to their own universes and continue their investigations. Lee Gon is determined to take down Lee Rim and restore peace to his kingdom, while Gang Tae-eul is still struggling to come to terms with the strange new world she finds herself in.
