As Gai Nie heals, Tian Ming adjusts to life in the peaceful Mohist Medicine Village. While he hates doing chores assigned to him by Master Ban, Duanmu Rong, Tian Ming and Yuer develop an affection for each other. This peace doesn't last, however, because our heroes are found again, this time by White Phoenix of the League of Assassins. Gai Nie, Tian Ming, Duanmu Rong, and Yuer flee the village, with White Phoenix?s birds in hot pursuit. With their position seemingly always given away by a hidden spy in their midst, they can't shake their pursuers.When they reach a mountain pass, a huge bird attacks, driving their wagon off a cliff.
